If you would like to join the TWB&FA, or renew a membership, you may contact the Walker Association Chairman Mr. Larry Hawke. Dues are $20.00 per year that runs from Jan. 1st through Dec. 31st. Mr. Larry can be reached by telephone at 419-994-4563 or you can write him at Larry Hawke - 520B C.R.2575 - Loudonville, Ohio 44842. You may also get a new membership or renewal at a Walker Sectional also. This month the TWB&FA is pleased to announce that Mr. Leonard Burchfield will now take over as TWB&FA Walker Sectional Chairman. Whitey Marshall has held this position in the past. You may contact Mr. Leonard at Leonard Burchfield - 2687 Attala Road 5206 - Ethel, MS. 39067. Any new Officers or contact persons at your club, please write to Mr. Leonard so he can get your paperwork out to you. Mr. Leonard will be working with Whitey closely to make the change over smooth as possible. Whitey on behalf of the TWB&FA Officers, clubs and members, we thank you for the incredible job you have done as Sectional Chairman.

Its never to early to make your plans for an ad in 2007 TWB&FA Yearbook. TWB&FA President Alan Kalal has handled all the work in the past few years. Alan has done on incredible job as all you have to do is look through a previous Yearbook. Alan has passed the duty onto Mike Carmack. Mike will be handling the ads and working with the production staff. Please send all of your information and any questions to Mike Carmack 1288 North 9 Mile Road Liberty, IN 47353. Mike can be reached by phone at 765-732-3540. Ads are still a very reasonable $75.00 for a full page ad.

The 2007 TWB&FA Breeders Cup Challenge will be held in Silver Lake IN this year Oct 5th and 6th. This year will see a few changes in the hunt. The top four dogs will compete in a hunt off. Also this year there will be a $10000.00 added purse. 1st place guaranteed $5000.00 and another $5000.00 to be divided between 2nd through 10th place. This is in addition to the monies payed out for the Challenge. The 2006 payout for 1st place was $2000.00 so you add another $5000.00 to that and you are looking at a very nice payout. Remember also this year that a pup can be litter and permanent nominated, and also can be single nominated. Single nomination gives those a chance that bought a pup that was not litter nominated to hunt in the Challenge. The fee is based on the age of your pup. Any questions on the 2007 Breeders Cup Challenge can be directed to President Alan Kalal - 25585 Hall Ave. - Faribault, MN. 55021. Keep watch on your magazine for all the dates and times as they are official. Look forward to seeing everyone there.

Outstanding Youth Award nominations are open. If you know of a youth that is an outstanding candidate for this award, please send a resume by Oct 15th to President Alan Kalal - 25585 Hall Ave - Faribault, MN. 55021. This resume should include the youth name, age, area they live, school grades, hobbies and interests, any hunts or Walker Sectionals won, what dogs they hunt, if they raised and trained them, and any other interesting facts about them. Include the name of the person nominating them also. All nominations will be discussed and considered at the Fall Directors meeting.

Till next time, hug your family and tell them you love them. See you in the timber.
