TREEING WALKER BREEDER AND FANCIERS ASSOCIATION YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM RULES The Treeing Walker Breeders & Fanciers Association created this scholarship program up to support the youth that participate in our sport and to encourage them to pursue a postsecondary education. - There will be two $1,000 youth scholarships awarded annually at the TWB&FA Youth Extravaganza Hunt and Show. One scholarship will be awarded to the overall Nite Hunt Winner and the other to the Overall Show Winner. These scholarships are only awarded at the TWB&FA Youth Extravaganza Hunt and Show.
- Participants are not required to be members of the Treeing Walker Breeders & Fanciers Association.
- Winners and parents/guardians will have to sign a youth scholarship contract. The contract will outline all steps required to ensure that award funds are used as intended by the Board of Directors.
- Scholarship winners will be required to submit a valid high school diploma or a G.E.D. certificate to the Treeing Walker Breeders & Fanciers Association Board of Directors upon completion of their high school education. Winners have up to one year, or until the age of 21, to submit their completion records to the Board.
- Scholarship winners must also submit to the Board of Directors a letter of acceptance from the postsecondary school of their choice. Winners have until the age of 21 to use their scholarships.
- Participants may only win two scholarships, or up to $2,000, using any combination of winning a hunt or show.
